Mangaluru: Police have arrested Dolphy Goveas in connection to murder of his father Paul Goveas(82) and attack on his brother Stany Goveas, in Karingana of Hosabettu Village limits on Friday, April 14.
Addressing the press at his office here on Sunday April 16, Police Commissioner Chandrashekar said that Moodbidri police have arrested Dolphy Goveas in connection with murder of Paul Goveas and as per the accused, he was forced to kill his father and assault his brother after the two leveled false allegations of killing his mother Lilly Goveas. She was found dead on 28th January 2015, under mysterious circumstances.
The family shared hostile relationship after a feud over land ownership and assets broke out.
ACP Mangaluru North Rajendra , CCRB ACP Valentine D’ Souza , Police Circle Inspector Anantha Padmanabha, Police incepector Ramachandra Nayak and other staffs cracked the case.
On Ahammed Quereshi’s case, the Police Commissioner said that Ahammed Quereshi is accused in murder attempt of Sudarshan from Surathkal and prime accused in murder attempt of Prakash Poojary.
