In a tragic incident on Saturday, a 62-year-old pedestrian lost his life after being hit by a speeding bus while crossing the road at Katapadi junction in Kapu. The victim, identified as Vijay Kumar, was a resident of Malpe Kola and reportedly a member of a music band.
The bus, traveling from Udupi to Mangaluru, swerved onto the road divider upon impact, causing a temporary disruption in traffic flow. A case has been registered at the Kaup police station.
