Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Commissoner of Police T R Suresh met newly appointed Bishop of Mangaluru Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha and retiring Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’ Souza, on September 12 at the Bishop’s House.
The Commissioner presented bouquet to the new bishop and congratulated him. He also presented bouquet to Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’ Souza and lauded his selfless service to the society.
The Commissioner promised to maintain law and order during the episcopal ordination programme scheduled on September 15 and to provide full security to the guests attending the event.
Convenor of the Episcopal Ordination Committee Fr. J B Crasta, Fr. Henry Sequiera, Diocesan PRO Fr. Vijay Victor Lobo, community leaders Roy Castelino, Sushil Noronha, Marcel Monteiro were present.
