Police detain two suspects in retailer’s murder case

Kasaragod: The Kumble police have detained two suspects linked to the murder of Ramakrishna Moolya (46), owner of J K General Stores, who was brutally hacked death in the broad daylight of May 3 in Kayyar, Mandekaup, Kasargod District.

Three other accused in the incident are still absconding.

It is also said that there is a Koragajja’s temple opposite to J K General Stores. In the month of March, the public had caught a thief who had stolen the offering box and handed him over to the police station. He was released on bail and now he is absconding. Police have also suspected that he and his team would have committed this crime out of revenge.

Police also raided places like Cherkala, Yeddaneeru and other places.

Retailers Association observed a regional level Harthal condemning the murder.

Bus connectivity from Banyodu-Dharmathadka was affected.
