Mangaluru: Former union minister Janardhan Poojary named Narendra Modi as “Mounandra Modi”, mocking him over his utter silence with regard to the increase in number of farmer’s deaths.
Speaking to the reporters on July 18, Poojary said, “Over 3, 61,000 farmers have died in this year alone and PM Modi has been completely ignorant about the fact, while he is giving speeches in foreign countries. why does not he have the guts to speak to his own farmers?, he questioned.
Attacking the Modi government, Poojary said that it is a government of the corporate; they are least bothered about the working class, the poor, the labourers and the farmers, the government is only interested in making profits, he said.
Furthermore, he also said that Modi promised ‘Ache din’, however, it does not seem like the ‘Ache din’ are anywhere near. “You were a ‘Chaiwala’ but after visiting five star hotels you have forgotten the pain that these poor people go through”, Poojary said while taking a jab at Modi and his silence on the issue.
