Inaugurating a convention organized by the ‘Eddelu Karnataka’ organization in Mangaluru, veteran actor Prakash Raj emphasized the responsibility of the majority in protecting the minority in a democracy. He spoke at ‘Sahodaya’ in Balmatta, highlighting the importance of citizen-centric Kannada groups.
Taking a critical stance, Prakash Raj targeted Prime Minister Modi over the electoral bonds scandal, criticizing alleged government intimidation tactics against corrupt individuals. He urged public awareness on such issues and cautioned against the implications of purchasing elected governments with financial power.
Reflecting on his personal encounter with an Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid, Prakash Raj asserted his commitment to honesty and integrity, stating his readiness to face any legal challenges.
Addressing the audience, he emphasized his pro-people stance, distancing himself from any political party affiliations. He pledged to continue serving the people and strengthening their trust.
Reflecting on recent political events, Prakash Raj attributed the BJP’s loss in the previous elections to disturbances in public peace and patience. He commended ‘Eddelu Karnataka’ for exposing what he deemed as the government’s anti-people stance, encouraging them to persist in their efforts.
Reinterpreting the Punyakoti legend for modern times, Prakash Raj urged compassion and empathy towards those in need.
