Preparations on for the Dharmasthala ‘Mahamastakabhisheka’

Belthangady: The auspicious ritual of the Jain community “Mahamastakabhisheka”, will be held in the month of February 2019. Prior to the event, a state level meet regarding the preparation was held in the Vasanth Mahal auditorium of Dharmasthala on September 10. The meet was chaired by the Dharmadhikari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade.

In the meet, it was decided that the event would be organised in the presence of Vardhaman Sagar Ji Muni Maharaj and Pushpadant Sagar Muni Maharaj. People from northern India will be invited. All priests and religious heads of the Jain community from the state will also be invited.

After the Panchakalyana ritual, for three continuous days, the Mahamastakabhisheka will be performed. Dr. Heggade suggested, “Every Saturday and Sunday the ritual will be performed in which youth and women should participate in the event with utmost devotion.”

Lalitha Keerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji of Karkala and Chaarukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji of Moodbidri blessed the occasion.

M S Mruthyunjaya, Vice President of Bharatiya Jain Milan, Bengaluru, former minister Abhayachandra Jain, Dutta Dorle from Hubbali and others assured of maximum support to the event.

D Surendra Kumar was appointed as the Chief Convenor of the Mahamasthakabhisheka Samithi, D Harshendra Kumar as the Convenor, K Mahaveera Ajri and V V Shetty as the Secretary.

Hemavathi V Heggade, Anitha Surendra Kumar, D Harshendra Kumar, Supriya Harshendra Kumar, D Rajendra Kumar and others were present at the meet.
