Mangaluru:‌ As the Dakshina Kannada district administration has relaxed some of the lockdown restrictions, the Mangaluru Press Club has decided to allow to press conferences at the Patrika Bhavan from May 11.

It can be noted that the Press Club had stopped holding press conferences at the Patrika Bhavan, extending its cooperation to the Central Government’s lockdown decision from March 23. They have decided to allow pressers now that the restrictions have been relaxed to some extent.

Press Club general secretary Mohammed Arif Padubidri informed that members of the public can convene press conferences from May 11. However, those journalists who attend the press conferences and those who organise the same should maintain social distance and follow the instructions of the health department so as to curb the spread of Covid-19, he added.
