Mangaluru: Dubai entrepreneur Vinu Vishwanath Shetty (54), who is a well-known personality in the field of folk sports ‘Kambala’, passed away due to cardiac arrest, on Sunday, December 23.
He had attended the Hokkadigoli kambala and was returning back during which he experienced chest pain. Even though he was immediately rushed to nearby hospital, he breathed his last.
Vishwanath Shetty’s buffaloes had bagged the first place in the same kambala.
He was known for the swimming pool that he had constructed for his buffaloes at his native village.
His final rites will be performed at Kaup on Monday.
