Mangaluru: Expressing intense ire against the sorry state of the service road at B C Road, the Samajika Nyaya Para Samiti (SNPS) staged protest blocking the service road on Monday.
The Samiti was joined by Vahana Chalakara Sangha and Karnataka Rajya Raita Hasiru Sene. The protest that was spearheaded by president of SNPS Krishna Alipade demanded speedy repair of the road.
Addressing the protesters, Alipade blamed the National Highway Authority of India for ignoring the road marred with potholes. He accused officials of apathy in regard to the poorly asphalted the road. “The bikers are finding it difficult to ride the vehicle as potholes are big in size and possibility of meeting with accidents is more”, he said.
The protesters demanded repair of the road as soon as possible in order to end the accident menace.
