Mangaluru: Ensuring tight security for the citizens, ahead of religious festivals and political party programmes scheduled in Mangaluru City, the police have deployed a company of Rapid Action Force (RAF). The force consists of 135 RAF personnel in the company.
Speaking to newskarnataka.com, DCP Hanumatharayya said as there were religious festivals and various programmes planned by different political parties in the city, to ensure safety and strong security to the citizens the step was taken.
RAF will also take route march in the city.
BJP Yuva Morcha has planned Mangaluru Chalo on September 7 in which 10000 BJP activists from across the state will take part.
