Ullal: A 32-year-old man has been booked under POCSO Act for allegedly trying to sexually assault a 11-year-old boy in Nehrunagar at Ullal Someshwar on Monday, June 13.
Mohammed Ashraf, a resident of Renjady in Deralakatte is the accused arrested.
The accused on pretext of picking rag entered the house. The boy told him that his parents have gone for work and asked him to collect the rag lying behind the house. The man called the boy and seeing nobody around attempted to sexually assault him. The boy screamed out of fear and the locals rushed to the house, caught the accused and handed him over to Ullal police.
The accused has been booked under POCSO Act.
