Mangaluru: The visit by national leaders of political parties for poll campaigning continues in Dakshina Kannada district. Now, AICC President Rahul Gandhi is set to visit Mangaluru.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Dakshina Kannada district on March 20, announced Karnataka Legislative Council Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza at his office, in the city.
“After his successful poll campaign in the parts of Hyderabad-Karnataka and Mumbai-Karnataka regions, Rahul Gandhi will visit Dakshina Kannada district on March 20 and 21”, said Ivan D’Souza.
Terming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit was not successful, Ivan D’Souza said, “Rahul Gandhi was greeted by huge crowds when he visited North Karnataka while, not many gathered at Modi ‘s rally.”
Rahul Gandhi’s visit follows the visit of BJP President Amit Shah in February.
Ivan also alleged that the BJP was involved in politics of hatred.
He also said, “People will not accept this politics. Even in the upcoming elections in the state, the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government will come to power.”
