Raid held in M’luru pub, Police files FIR

Mangaluru: On the night of Saturday October 24, a team of inspectors led by CCB inspector Mahesh Prasad and Barke Police Station Inspector Jyotirling Honnakatti raided an air lounge and kitchen on MG Road.

According to the sources, the raid was carried out after police got information from the public that the pub had been open for more than a week, playing music above the permitted sound limit, and breaking Covid-19 guidelines.

A FIR has been filed under the Excise Act, the Karnataka Police Act, and the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act.  Equipment worth Rs. 7.6 lakh has been seized, including a DJ console, a pro-voice DJ console, a laptop, and a processor.
