Mangaluru: The preparations for the “Rashtriya Dharma Sansad”, being organised by the Shri Ram Kshetra Mahasamsthanam under the aegis of Sadguru Shri Brahmananda Saraswathi Swamiji on September 2 and 3, are in the final stages.
Addressing a press meet here in the city, Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “As many as 3000 saints and Sadhus would be participating in the Rashtriya Dharma Sansad. The inauguration of Rashtriya Dharma Sansad will be held on September 3 at 10:30 AM in Kanyadi. Padma Vibushan Dr. D Veerendra Heggade will preside. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will inaugurate the Rashtriya Dharma Sansad. Union ministers Prakash Javadekar and D V Sadhananda Gowda will be the chief guests for the programme.”
“On Sunday, September 2, the Saints and Sadhus will be ferried in five different chariots from Janardhana Swamy Temple, Ujire to Kanyadi Nithyananda Nagar”, he said.
“On Monday, September 3, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM there will be a ‘Shri Rama Tharaka Mantra Yajna’ under the guidance of Vedamurthy Lakshmipathi Gopalacharya. At around 9:15 AM, Centenary celebrations of ‘Pattabhishek’ of Shri Sadhguru Bhramananda Saraswathi Swamiji will be held”, he added.
The saints and sadhus who will join the Dharma Sansad will make a decision on the education and culture of the nation.
Kateel also urged the general public to take part in the Rashtriya Dharma Sansad.
