Mangaluru: “As there is a deliberate attempt to impose western and communist ideologies upon the people of India, everyone should unite and face the challenge,” said J Nandakumar, national convener of `Prajna Pravah` on Sunday, November 4.
Delivering valedictory address at the two-day `Mangaluru Lit Fest- 2018` organised at Dr TMA Pai Convention Center , Nandakumar said, “the people who embraced communist ideology say that the idea of the nation came into existence only after India got independence. But in reality, the idea of nation and the name of India or Bharatha is mentioned in Vedas as well,” he said.
“People should not bow down to the conspiracy of communist people as they are trying to impose communist ideology among the youth. Hence, efforts should be made to create awareness among the students of universities about the conspiracy of communist people“, he said and opined that programmes like `Lit Fest` should be organised repeatedly.
Former vice-chancellor of Manipal University Prof B M Hegde said,“ the thinking of India is always based on science. Earlier, people did not agree with the concept of Ayurveda. However, the opinion has changed now and it has been accepted by all countries. The fragrance of India is concealed in the customs and traditions, which is overlapped by the western system of education. Hence, the thinking of India should be brought in all sectors including education“, he opined.
During the two day fest, a total of 15 sessions were held. Meanwhile Anuj Dhar’s book `Your Prime Minister is Dead`, R Jagannath’s `job crisis in India` David Frawley’s `what is Hinduism` and Sahana Vijaya Kumar’s `Kasheera` books were released on the occasion.
