Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Corporation will upgrade Lady Hill to PVS during first week of November, MCC Mayor Kavitha Sanil said on October 26.
Addressing an interactive meeting at the KCCI, she said that the work will be done in two phases and the proposal of Rs 6.5 crore is with the Deputy Commissioner.
“On his approval, the MCC will commence the work. The upgrade of the road includes improving the basic facilities like street lights, proper drainage and footpath etc,” the Mayor said during the interaction.
Responding to demand of the KCCI to lay interlock outside the KCCI office, she said that the MCC has chosen Bunder for development under smart city programme. The Detailed Project Report has been made.
KCCI president Vathika Pai submitted memorandum demanding solution to traffic congestion in the city and at Nanthoor Circle, footpaths for pedestrians, water conservation and management, proper drainage facilities, promote Mangaluru in tourism and to improve basic infrastructure in the city.
