Mangaluru: Believe it or not, a conductor who sacked from job vented out his frustration by filling sugar in the fuel tank of the bus that he was working in.
The accused is Sathish Karkera (32) from Nirebailur.
He was working in Salian Travels, plying between Mulky-Karkala.
It is said that fed up with money swindling habits of Karkera, bus owner Janardhan Poojary gave him enough chances to mend his ways. But, greedy Karkera continued to harass Poojary by meddling with the daily collections.
Soon Poojary showed him the door. Raged by this, on Tuesday evening when the bus was parked at a local petrol bunk, Karkera filled the fuel tank with sugar.
As per Poojary, the act has brought the entire engine to halt and to repair the tank and the engine; he will have to shell out Rs 1.5 to 2 lac.
