Mangaluru: Sahyadri Civil Engineering Students recently joined hands with team “TRIGON” to execute an innovative project worth Rs. 30,000 at Government High School, Angaragundi, New Mangalore.
The project was funded by the NGO – Inchara Foundation and involved the construction of toilets which are economical, eco-friendly and easily repairable. It also involved the conversion of a normal playground into a fun-filled zone using scrap materials which are economical and recyclable.
The Sahyadri team consisted of Alester from Mechanical Engineering, Shweta L.G, Jewin Maria D’Cunha and Vinson Daniel Almeida from Civil Engineering. Director of Inchara Foundation – Pritam Rodrigues had approached Dr. Premanand Shenoy and Prof. Sunil Kumar Rai, Dept. of Civil Engineering to seek help for this project.
The project was assigned to the students for execution and has now been successfully completed.
