Sara Abubakar, Vinaya Prasad to be conferred with Veerarani Abbakka Award

Mangaluru: U T Khader, State Minster for Food and Civil Supplies on January 19, announced that the the prestigious “Veerarani Abbakka Award” will be conferred on well-known Litterateur Dr. Sara Abubakar and film Actor Vinaya Prasad at Abbaka Utsava in Someshwara Koliya on February 4.

Addressing the press meet, State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader said that the state government will organise, “Veera Rani Abbakka Samskrithika Utsava” at Maharani College, Mysuru. Nearly, 25000 people from all over Karnataka will join the fest.

Khader also informed that Abbakka Ustava will be also organised in the month of March in Delhi.The state government has sanctioned Rs 50 Lakh for all three Abbakka Utsavas.

The state government has sanctioned Rs 70 Lakh to construct “Yatri Nivas” for the pilgrims visiting Ullala Durgha, St. Sebastian Church in Someshwara, Somanatheshwara Temple in Someshwara and a Durgh Temple at Manjanady where 6 rooms each will be constructed in all the four places for pilgrims.
