Mangalore: The Mahatma Gandhi Park in Mannagudda will host the “MRPL 3rd Edition Saree Walk and Run-2023″ in Mangaluru at 6:30 am on 17th Sunday December, organized by MediMed Solutions. Rajesh, the Managing Director of MediMed Solutions, announced this in a press release.
The event is sponsored by MRPL, KMF Karnataka Co-operative Milk Producers Mahamandalhi Regular (KMF), and Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union. It is also supported by newskarantaka.com, Lions Club, Inner Wheel Club, and more, with an expected participation of over 3,500 women.
In the Mangaluru MRPL 3rd Edition Saree Walk and Run-2023, women will run wearing traditional sarees, expressing a bold connection to their cultural heritage. This tradition has been joyously embraced by women in the previous two editions and will continue in the third edition.
In the coastal city of Mangalore, MediMed Solutions has launched this innovative program to promote health awareness and traditional attire among women. The event also aims to raise awareness about women’s fitness. The third edition covers a distance of 3 kilometers.
Prizes for Winners (Saree Running):
- First Place: Rs. 7,500
- Second Place: Rs. 5,000
- Third Place: Rs. 2,500
Winners will receive prizes, and all participants will be awarded medals and certificates. Special awards include:
- School and College Women Teacher Award for Highest Enrollment
- Female Employee Award for the Most Registered Government Offices, Banks, Companies, and Hospitals
- Award for Women’s Clubs with the Most Registrations
Attractive prizes will be awarded for special talents, courage, the best slogan, and the largest team participation. Women aged 15 to 80 are eligible to participate, and lunch will be provided. Water and medical facilities are available along the competition route, and participants will receive a free mug at the end of the walk or run.
