Mangaluru: Ivan D’Souza convened his last press conference as MLC, Karnataka Legislative Council at his office in the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Building on Tuesday, June 23, and said that he would continue to serve the society from his home office in the coming days.
Tuesday being his last working day as MLC, D’Souza said that he is satisfied with his performance over the last six years as a member of the Legislative Council.
“I did not skip even a single Council meeting during my term of six years and utilized all meetings to provide solutions to the problems of people. As Chief Whip of Legislative Council and Parliamentary Secretary, I have done a good job too,” he said.
Speaking about the installation of solar panels in Dakshina Kannada district Ivan said, “I have given maximum importance to installing solar panels to generate power and raised this issue in Council meeting also. Due to this, DK district stands only behind Bengaluru in the entire state as far as using solar energy with panels is concerned.”
MLA U T Khader and other leaders Ibrahim Kodijal, Nagendra Kumar, Nazeer Bajal and Manuraj were present.
