Bantwal: The delegation of ‘Save and Develop Government Schools’ met the country’s veteran activist Dr Anna Hazare in Ralegan Siddi, Pune.
In a drive to save government schools around the state, the state committee has planned to start a uniform educational policy all over the country.
They wanted to get some guidance from Dr Hazare for their already prepared programme draft.
Dr Anna Hazare lauded the work of the state committee in saving government schools and extended his support for their future activities.
“In a democracy, people are the bosses and their representatives should work for the people. But the case is not so in Indian democracy. Therefore, the people have to unite and fight for their rights and then only the desired results can be achieved,” said Dr Hazare.
Save and Develop Government School State Committee President Prakash Anchan, Honorary President S Rajashekhar, Chief Secretary Purushotham Anchan, treasurer Sandeep Salyan, members Ashok A, Chikkaballapura Vikram Harekala, Maur Keerthi and Ramachandra Poojari were in the delegation that met Dr Anna Hazare.
