Mangaluru: With certain political parties calling for a nation-wide bandh on Monday to protest against the hike in fuel prices, Dakshina Kannada district and Udupi district administrations have declared a holiday for schools and colleges on Monday.
To avoid any unusual circumstances and to maintain law and order in the district on the account of Bharat Bandh, DK Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil and Udupi DC Priyanka Mary Francis have declared a holiday on September 10.
The DCs have said that every primary, secondary, PUC and degree colleges in the districts will remain closed.
