Belthangadi: A science model developed by Shri Dharmasthala Engineering school (CBSE) has been selected for the national level science convention to be held in Maharashtra. The model throws light on sustainable development and emphasizes on incorporating newer scientific methods to achieve progress.
The model developed by students Sneha Maria,Bhumika, Ankita, Prithvi Sagar,Aditya Shankar has won Dr.Nagalota Matadatti award was ranked first at state level.
The model functions on battery and can be operated using Solar, wind and power generated by water waves and aids in effective usage of natural resource water. The model has a filter mechanism in the front which can filter all forms of waste. The useful content in the waste can be recycled and the model can be employed in lakes, ponds, and open wells.
According to Physics teacher Rathan Kumar the model can be used in large scale operations by incorporating latest technology.
The model moves using solar power and collects all forms of waste and cleans the water along the travel path.
The model contains chemicals to clean solar panel and Wind power units.
