Belthangady: The search for Sanat Shetty, who went missing under the Bangarupalke Falls, is being carried out with human effort and JCB’s. The use of JCB’s for the operation has badly affected the environment surrounding the location.
11 days ago, Mr. Sanath Shetty (20) hailing from Kashi Bettu, near Ujire went missing at Bangar palke falls, Malavanrige village, Belthangady due to land sliding. To intensify the search operation, JCB was brought into action on Thursday. Despite this, there is no trace of Sanath Shetty.
The Work on the construction of a 333-meter-long road to the impassable Bangara Palke falls began on Wednesday. The JCB’s which arrived on Thursday is in the process of clearing mud and boulders. Now search operation is being conducted at 500 feet depth of the falls.
The scene of the location is changed completely when compared to last week. The problem of road access to the location is solved. The boulders and timber have almost been cleared. The uneven place at the location has been leveled.
Since the water flow is not hampering the operation and search process is speeding up. Thousands of people extended services in the search operation which began 11 days ago, but there is still no clue of him.
Police dept under the leadership of PSI Nandakumar of Belthangady Police Station is being assisted by the Police Department SDRAP, firefighters, wildlife department and volunteer organizations and all required emergency equipment like generators and emergency.
The location is about 40 km from Belthangady Taluk, 12 km from the village of Diduppe in Malavanti. One has to pass through, the bumpy roads of the wildlife section. Wild buffaloes are seen in this arduous location. Traveling by jeep is more convenient. It is indeed challenging work for the people involved in this search operation.
