Mangaluru: The second flight ferrying 178 Indians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) landed at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) at around 7.55 pm on Monday, May 18.
Soon after they landed, the passengers were given a health check-up, money exchange, sim cards and health kits, apart from other procedures as per protocol. Later, the passengers were also served food.
Measures were then taken to move the passengers to the selected quarantine centres across the city. Throat swabs will be collected from them on Tuesday, May 19.
The Dubai returnees were received by Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, ADC Roopa M J, Airport Director V V Rao, District Health Officer Dr Ramachandra Bayari and others.
