Belthangadi: The Dharmasthala Police nabbed an accused on April 28, in connection with the sexual assault of a minor girl.
Sundara (23), a rubber tapper by profession and a resident of Belalu Kundadka was nabbed 3 months after the incident.
He had entered the house of a 17-year-old girl when she was alone at home. After sexually assaulting her, he had threatened her of dire consequences to ensure his crime does not come out to the open.
However, the incident came to light two days ago when the girl complained of stomach pain. Dharmasthala police swung into immediate action and booked the accused under POCSO act.
He was later remanded to judicial custody.
