Mangaluru: The main accused in Shaktinagar murder case has been arrested by the Mangaluru rural police here on Monday at the Mangaluru International airport.
Bipin Rai, who is the main accused in the October 2014 murder case of Abdul Hameed from Shaktinagar was hiding in Thailand.
The main accused was arrested after officials at the airport identified him based on LOC circular sent by the cops. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
Earlier Hareesh and Abhishek two other accused were interrogated and they revealed details about the murder planned by financier Bipin Rai.
The victim had borrowed a sum of 35 lakh from Bipin Rai and was deferring returning the amount. Bipin Rai who runs a finance company had instructed his assistant Hareesh to murder the victim. Based on these instructions, a group sent by Bipin allegedly took the victim to Shaktinagar and stabbed him near the Vaidyanatha Temple.
