Sharath Madiwala case gains momentum; three more arrested

Mangaluru: Three persons who allegedly aided the main accused involved in the murder of RSS worker Sharath Madiwala have been apprehended by the police on Wednesday August 16.

The arrested are Riyaz Paranki, Sadiq Nelyadi and Khaleem alias Khaleemullah. They were produced before the court on August 16.

Earlier the police had arrested Abdul Shazi (36) and Khaleelullah (30) both affiliated to the Popular Front of India in connection to the murder. However it is not yet known if Riyaz, Sadiq and Khaleem too are associated with the PFI.

A furore had been witnessed in the Dakshina Kannada district following the death of RSS worker Sharath Madiwala, who was stabbed on the night of July 4 at BC Road with . He succumbed to his injuries at a city hospital three days later.

A special team comprising of 30 special officers, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Sushil Reddy had visited several places including Karwar, border areas of Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Bengaluru and Chamarajanagar to search the accused.
