Mangaluru: A short circuit that occurred in a shop near the central market in the city, led to a fire on the evening of September 2.
The shop known as Bharath Collections located on the first floor of Jayanti complex in the market area of the city was owned by Hari Singh.
As the garment shop was less ventilated the fire officials struggled to douse the fire.
They reportedly said that the cause for the fire seemed to be a short circuit. However, as the shop was on the first floor and enclosed, it took some time to extinguish the fire.
Meanwhile, the officials ascertained that the loss was limited. Pandeshwar police have registered a case.
