Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District Superintendent of Police, Rishyanth CB, responded to the killing of Puttur’s Akshay Kallega, clarifying that there is no indication of the perpetrator being under the influence of ganja. The ongoing investigation suggests that the murder resulted from an accidental occurrence.
An investigation is underway to determine if the murder occurred due to an old enmity. Akshay Kallega, a known rowdy-sheeter, had a case registered against him. All the accused were familiar with Akshay Kallega. District Police Superintendent Rishyanth has stated that inquiries are being conducted to understand if there is any other reason behind the murder.
