Mangaluru: Press releases from Southern and Konkan Railway today announced a special train between Vasai Road and Mangaluru Junction to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Ganesha festival.
The releases said that the Vasai Road- Mangaluru Junction special trains would leave Vasai Road at 1.45 p.m. on September 11, 16 and 26 to reach Mangaluru Junction at 11 a.m. the following day in that order. The Mangaluru Junction-Vasai Road special train would leave Mangaluru Junction at 6 p.m. on September 12, 17 and 27 to reach Vasai Road at 1 p.m. the following days.
The special train would have eight sleeper-class and eight unreserved coaches and two brake-vans.
The train would stop at Panvel, Roha, Madgaon, Veer, Ked, Chipun, Savarda, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Advali, Rajapur, Vaibhavwadi, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Swantwadi, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Udupi and Suratkal.
