Mangaluru: In a case of negligent and rash driving, nearly five passengers had a miraculous escape after the car in which they were travelling toppled after hitting a divider here in Tannirbhavi in the wee hours of Sunday, April 16.
As per the details the car was moving towards the city from Tannirbhavi when the driver lost control of the car and hit the divider at around 4:00 am. While the car has been badly damaged in the incident, the occupants of the car sustained minor injuries. One person has been admitted to a private hospital, said personnel from the Surathkal Traffic Police.
The accident could have possibly occurred under the influence of alcohol since few alcohol bottles were said to be found in the car.
Mangaluru North Police will be registering case.
