Mangaluru: MLA U T Khader alleged that state government has failed to take a unanimous decision on conducting exams, online classes and ministers are engaged in giving confusing statements.

Addressing reporters here on Saturday, June 13, Khader said, “though the government has decided now to conduct exams for SSLC and PUC and fixed date, some ministers have been engaged in giving confusing statements with regard to the exams. This will create confusion and fear in the minds of students and parents. “

Pointing out the decision of the state government of not conducting online classes from LKG to the fifth standard, Khader welcomed the decision. “However, why did the state government not ban some of the Apps like BYJU’s learning app? If there is no ban on such apps, then what is the guarantee that they are not conducting online classes? Instead of taking a decision on online classes, let the government conduct exams without any hiccups,” he added.

Meanwhile, Khader opined that lockdown should be announced for the areas surrounding exam centers up to a radius of 50 meters. He also opined that the responsibility of sanitizing exam centers should be given to the health department instead of the local administration. “Exams should be conducted only after ensuring all precautionary measures have been taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19, ” he stressed.
