Moodbidri: A 19-year-old college student, succumbed to a condition she had kept secret from her family, on July 28 after the disease aggravated and it was too late to save her.
The girl, identified as Yakshitha, was a second year B.Com student at Siddakatte first grade college and was a resident of Neerkere near here.
It is learnt that the girl had been suffering from diabetes and issues with her blood pressure for a while before her untimely demise. She had chosen, for unknown reasons, to keep her illness a secret from her family.
Her illness came to light when she was taken to a private hospital and she did not go to college for two days. Unfortunately, the girl’s blood pressure had dipped too low by then and her diabetes had gotten worse, which ultimately caused her death.
