Bantwal: A study team of officials from Bihar, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Delhi visited Sangabettu and Golthamajal Gram Panchayats on Monday in Dakshina Kannada to study various projects taken up under Swach Bharath Mission.
The team visited the waste disposal unit at Siddakatte near Sangabettu and learnt about how waste collected from hotels, commercial complexes etc were being converted into manure.
Highlights of pipe compost at Bakimaru anganwadi were shown to the team who also learnt how water metre has been installed in every house to control usage of water.
Napkin incinerator installed in Siddakatte Government School was also seen by the team.
Napkin unit, incinerator, waste disposal mechanism, manure production from waste are some of the successful projects of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat.
