Sullia: A Sullia based trader was nabbed and later released for allegedly abusing Power Minister D K Shivakumar over phone.
The trader identified as Sai Giridhar Rai, President of Bellare Traders’ Asociation was frustrated with frequent power in the region to such an extent that he could not help but take this extreme step of hurling abuses at the Minister.
It is said that the trader did not spare even the Mescom officials.The police registered the complaint filed by Mescom Assistant Executive Engineer and when the cops went to arrest him from his home in Bellare, they . had a tough time when Rai refused to open the door. The cops finally gained entry into the house after opening the tiles of the roof.
Sullia is one of the worst hit region which is facing frequent power cuts and as per sources it is poor infrastructure that is causing the problem.
