Mangaluru: Five persons have been arrested for moral policing incident held near Surathkal toll gate in the outskirts of City. The incident that was held late Sunday September 26 evening came to light when video with regard to the incident went viral.
The arrest has been made by the Surathkal police limits and they are said to be activists of Hindu organisation. It is alleged that despite police requesting the five persons not to indulge in the violent act, the persons continued the act, and attacked the vehicle wherein students from different communities belonging to a private medical college of Derlakatte of the City where travelling. The students in the car were returning after visiting Malpe beach in Udupi district.
A case of moral policing was lodged in this regard at the Surathkal Police Station.
