Moodabidri: Recognizing his immense contribution in the field of wildlife and conservation photography, renowned wildlife photographer Thanjavur Nateshacharya Ayyam Perumal fondly called T N A Perumal will be conferred with this year’s ‘Alva’s Chayachithrasiri award’.
In a press release Alva’s group institutional head Dr. Mohan Alva said, the coveted award will be given to the octogenarian for his relentless study and perfection in the field of photography. Winner of several national and International awards, Alva’s recognizes the works and services of the mercurial photographer, the release said.
The award will be given away at a glittering ceremony on November 13, where all the entries of the photography contest will be adjudicated. Around 1241 photographs have been received till date and 500 more are expected before the dead line of the contest ends on November 6. The winners will be selected on November 7 and the chosen 60 photographs will be kept on display at the exhibition on November 13, according to the exhibition organizing committee secretary Astro Mohan.
