Mangaluru: Star Campaigner of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Sandalwood actress Tara had visited Mangaluru to extend her support to the Mangaluru Lok Sabha constituency party candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel’s campaigning, here on Thursday, April 4.
She had visited the Central Fish Market, located near the State Bank of India, Bunder and spoke to the fisherwomen.
Speaking to media, she said that apart from campaigning for Nalin, she had also discussed about various issues that the fisherwomen were facing.
She criticised the state coalition government of Congress and Janata Dal (S) for not responding properly to the request of constructing a brand new structure in the same place rather than relocate.
She opined that as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had decided to form a new ministry for fishing in the Centre. Modi would yet again become the PM and work for the betterment of fishermen and fisherwomen and the country on the whole, she said.
Tara lauded Nalin as the top MP of the state and an achiever in terms of implementing the schemes and programmes of the PM Modi government.
