Puttur: The Sampya police arrested a 30-year-old English teacher from Puttur Government Highschool for sending obscene messages to his student on phone.
The accused has been identified as Manjunath, resident of Mysuru.
According to police, accused Manjunath used to send obscene messages to his student who is pursuing her 10th standard in the same school. The parents who came to know about this filed a complaint with the school principal and Parents’-Teachers’ Association.
When members of the Association questioned Manjunath, he confessed to the crime.
The Sampya Police who arrested Manjunath registered a case under POCSO Act.
