Mangaluru: Decathlon Sports India’s Mangalore Branch at Bharath Mall, is looking to transform you from a couch potato to a fit and fine you through an event this Sunday early morning 13th October 2019 called the Fun Run. Nothing funny about it, you’ve to run with all the seriousness a running race deserves to reap the benefits.
The Fun Run, a part of the 1st Edition of the Decathlon Sports Utsava Mangalore is expected to see 500+ runners take part in this Half Marathon event. And for those just getting off the couch, there are mini runs. Sudarshan, the store in charge told Newskarnataka.com that the Company’s goal in organizing this marathon is threefold – “Fun, fitness and helping underprivileged sportsmen/women equip themselves for greater things in life”. A noble cause indeed.

There is a nominal registration Fee (to cover the racing kit which will be provided and other expenses) as follows:
- Half Marathon: Rs. 499 + GST
- 10 KM Run: Rs 499 + GST
- 5 KM Run / Walk: Rs.499 + GST
- 3 KM Fun Run / Walk: Rs.99 GST
The Racer Kit (includes Running BI8, Safety pins, Event T-Shirt (for 5KM/10KM/Half Marathon)) for those who have registered will be distributed Friday, 11th & Saturday. 12th October 2019 between 2 and 8 PM at the Decathlon store on the 1st Floor, Bharath Mall, Opp. KSRTC Bus Stand, Lalbagh, Mangaluru.
There is, of course, an X-Factor to draw you to the event (besides of course your desire to have fun while improving your fitness) – Your run will not go in vain. Those who complete the run will receive an embossed finisher medal and participation Certificate and the clincher – breakfast after the event.
