Padubidri: A theft has taken place in the Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (MESCOM) office yesterday, May 14 night.
The culprits have entered the office located in Sri Mahadevi building complex from the back door and stolen Rs 4.5 Lakh.
The police suspect that the theft might have been done keeping in mind that it was Tuesday since it is on this day that more number of electricity bills are paid.
The police along with fingerprint experts and dog squad conducted an inquest and investigations are on.
