Mangaluru: The three-day ‘Puzzolana GPL 2020 Utsav’, organised by the Kodial Sports Association, will be held at the cricket stadium of Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Adyar from February 14 onwards.
Informing about the event, Hangyo Ice Cream managing director and Kodial Sports Association directors’ board convener Pradeep Pai said, “The GPL 2020 will be called GPL Utsav as it will be a three-day event for everyone from children to the elderly. As part of the event, there will be a cricket tournament, wherein 16 teams from in and around the state will participate. The first match will be held on February 14 at around 12 pm and the final match will be held on February 16 at around 9 pm. The winning team will be presented with a trophy and certificate and the ‘Man of the Match’ title winner will be awarded a Suzuki Gixxer bike. The Utsav will be inaugurated on February 14 at around 7 pm, after which there will be a music programme.”
On February 15, events like cooking competition for seniors, kids’ cricket, treasure hunt, drawing and coloring, mehendi competition, entrepreneurs meet, cultural show and mallakamba show will be held. Other events like fancy dress, rangoli, flower garland competition, senior citizen cricket, deaf and mute cricket tournament and others will be held on February 16, the final day of the programme.
The leaders of ‘Youth of GSB’ Mangalpady Naresh Shenoy, Chethan Kamath, Naresh Prabhu, Kiran Shenoy and Anjana Kamath were present.
