Mangaluru: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama will hold his maiden visit to Port City of Mangaluru on August 29 and 30 and attend a function at a private medical college auditorium here.
The spiritual leader is scheduled to arrive at the Mangaluru International Airport at 12.20 pm on Thursday and take part in the national conference of All India Association of Catholic Schools at Fr Muller Auditorium, Kankanady the next day. He would leave on August 31 at 7 am.
The security details have already been worked out in the city for his stay and Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil held a meeting with officials concerned in this regard.
Dalai Lama had visited the coastal belt in July 2016, when he celebrated his 81st birthday and also the completion of the 50th year of Tibetans settling in Mundgod near Uttara Kannada.
