Ullal: An MBA student from St Aloysius College died on the spot after a speeding tipper lorry ran over his bike here on February 6 on Ambika Road.
Fermy Crasta (23), a resident of Trasi in Kundapur is the deceased.
The incident took place when the student was heading towards his relatives’ house in Bendoorwell from college. The tipper lorry hit his bike from behind. He lost control and fell, and was crushed by the tipper. Though he wore a helmet, he died of severe head injuries on the spot.
He was a first year MBA student of St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology, Madoor in Beeri.
Ullal Police have registered a case in this regard. The tipper lorry driver managed to escape from the spot.
