Mangaluru: As the financial year begins, the National Highway Authority of India is all set to increase the toll in the five toll-plazas in twin districts from April 1.
The toll-gates at Bhramarakotlu and Surathkal near NITK come under the NHAI while the toll gates at Talapady, Gudumi and Hejamady in Udupi come under Navayug Udupi Tollway Private Limited.
In Surthkal Tollgate Light Motor Vehicles have to pay Rs 75(two-way) and for the monthly pass of (LMV) have to Rs 1670. The commercial vehicles registered in the district have to pay Rs 25(as usual), Heavy Motor Vehicles, Commercial goods carrier, mini buses have to pay Rs120 (two-way) and monthly pass for Commercial good carrier, mini buses have to pay Rs 2695. Local commercial vehicles have to pay Rs 40(as usual). Buses, trucks have to pay Rs 255(two-way), Buses and trucks for the monthly pass have to pay Rs 5650. Toll fare for the vehicles which has more-than three, seven and HCM, EME, MAV vehicles will be increased.
Bhramarakotlu Tollgate: Light Motor Vehicles have to pay Rs 25(one-way) and Rs 35 for the(two-way), For the monthly pass of LMV have to pay Rs 800. The vehicles registered in the district have to pay Rs 10(as usual). Heavy Motor Vehicles, Commercial good carrier, mini buses have to pay Rs 60(two-way) and for the monthly pass have to pay Rs 1295. The local commercial vehicles have to pay Rs 20. The buses and trucks have to pay Rs 120(two-way), the monthly pass for the buses and trucks have to pay Rs 2710. Toll fare for the vehicles which has more-than three, seven and HCM, EME, MAV will be increased.
In Navayug Tollgate: The Light Motor Vehicles have to pay Rs 55 in Talapady, Rs 65 in Gundumi and Rs 50 in Hejamady tollgates. For the monthly pass of LMV have to pay Rs Rs 1395 in Gundumi, Rs 1145 in Talapady and Rs 1145 in Talapady.
Heavy Motor Vehicles, commercial goods carrier and mini buses have to pay Rs 100 in Gundumi, Rs 85 in Hejamady and Rs 85 in Talapady, for the monthly pass have to pay Rs 2250 in Gundumi, Rs 1850 in Hejamady and Rs 1935 in Talapady. Heavy Motor Vehicles, Commercial good carrier, mini bus have to pay Rs 210 in Gundumi, Rs 175 in Hejamady and Rs 175 in Talapady and monthly pass will be Rs 4715 in Gundumi, Rs 3880 in Hejamady and Rs 3935 in Talapady.
