Mangaluru: The owner of Mahesh Motors, Prakash Shetty (40), was found dead by hanging in his apartment near Kadri, Kambala. The motive behind his suicide remains unclear. Mahesh Motors operates numerous city buses in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.
Dakshina Kannada Bus Owners’ Association members expressed deep shock and sorrow at the sudden demise of Prakash Shetty, former general secretary of the association. Prakash Shetty, a respected businessman, social activist, donor, and advocate for religious activities, served as a source of inspiration for all bus owners. His passing represents an irreplaceable loss to the bus owners’ association.
Jayaram Shetty, the father of Prakash Shetty, holds a senior position within the Bus Owners’ Association and has previously served as its president. In a unified press statement, Azeez Parthipady, President of the Bus Owners Association, and Ramachandra Pilar, General Secretary of the Bus Owners Association, conveyed their condolences, offering prayers for Prakash Shetty’s soul to find eternal peace and for his family to be granted the strength to navigate through this challenging time.
