Mangaluru: RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat sparked yet another controversy when he said that the saffron flag can replace the national flag one day.
He made the remarks during the conclusion of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s padayatra to Koragajja Kshetra in Kutthar.
“The tricolour flag was finalised, to pacify the minority community. If a majority of people vote in parliament and the Rajya Sabha for a change of national flag, the flag can be changed. If things continue this way, Hindu society will come together,” he added.
In response to the question of whether or not the Bhagavad Gita should be included in school curricula, Bhat said that the Bhagavad Gita should be read in all schools and houses.
